Groovy! I've very happy with this one. I wanted to try for a wilder, more "splashy" carving pattern here, and while it took a bit more time (hence the 'Extra' grading), I believe it was worth it as it steps beyond the straightforward swirls of most of these rustications and moves into a more elaborate carve with flaring feather patterns winding from bowl rim all the way back to the stem & shank join. We've also done a "fumed shank" to match the fumed bowl rim, as I thought it would look interesting to have the black stem meet a black shank end and then fade gradually down the shank to semi-natural. The lower part of the pipe actually is stained, a custom yellow/amber tone for contrast in the recesses, but after surface texture highlighting it's mostly natural on the outer edges.

These squat billiard shapes are handy things - The thicker shanks provide a bit more canvas to play on, and the visual "height" of the shank gives more room for up-and-down carving and general play. The bowl chambers are bigger than expected for a pipe of such compact dimensions, making them ideal travel pipes. Pretty much my idea of the best stubby billiard we can render!
