Non-US buyers are responsible for all customs fees incurred in their country. "Out of Stock" messages during check-out mean that the pipe has already sold, but I have not yet updated the catalog page to reflect its "Sold" status. Shipping costs for items over $400 automatically include the cost for full insurance of the item during transit.

The quick story - I've recently gotten hold of a large cache of my older pipes as part of a generous gift to help us pay my wife's cancer surgery expenses. Over the next weeks, I'll be gradually posting them as I get them cleaned, inspected, etc. Many of these pipes are NEW and UNSMOKED and have been part of a display collection, sometimes for as much as 20 years!

This pipe sparked off a huge discussion thread on Instagram over the question of doing modification & redesign work on it. Like the unsmoked 1999 Yule Pipe that I posted before, this is one from my first big "set" - The '99's were the first time I really tried to create a multi-pipe set of similar pipes for a specific occasion. The solid brass shank extension was also a first. I turned it and drilled it from brass rod, then Emily did the letter carving - around the brass extension is lettered "YULE". I'm still proud of these after all there years and the bands worked out really nicely, I think.

The Instagram discussion was about the issue of reshaping the stem. I've done some functional improvements to the stem interior, to improve the airflow and the smoking experience, but I've left the original shape of the stem as-is. To my eye, it wants slimming down, but the vast majority of respondents on Instagram voted to leave it as-is, in original condition, so here it be - Exactly as it left the workshop in December of 1999. It's been smoked but not heavily, and I've given it a full alcohol cleaning and re-polishing and general cleanup. I CAN alter the stem should the buyer want it changed, but that would add labor time to the price.

I know probably everyone will immediately click right in to the cool radiating age ring pattern of the sandblast, but I'd urge you all to have a look at the other side's close-up photos too - The bird's-eye side was finished for two-toned contrast and presents some wonderfully intricate and detailed grain patterns.
