Notes: The first Morta Signature since the Scallop back in March.  I'll probably be lucky to make four of five of these this year.  For this particular pipe, I took advantage of the larger morta block and used the entire piece for the bowl, fitting it with a shank of olivewood.  I've done this before and always been pleased by the results, especially the intriguing smoke flavor spawned from the combination of morta and olivewood.  The ring grain stacking is excellent in symmetry and tightness.  The stem is handcut German ebonite.  One thing I should note - I did this stem a little different, using a narrower, wider slot, in order to really push the boundaries of how thin I could make a stem.  It is VERY thin, barely even perceptible, but I would not recommend this pipe to anyone prone to hard clenching.  It is supremely comfortable for light clenching, however.
