Notes: NOTE - The Shape 72 pipes are NO LONGER PRODUCED
due to having exhausted our supply of these stummels. There will be no
more unless I find some that I have overlooked somewhere in our storage
cave.
The shape 72 has to be one of the Ligne Bretagne "Top Ten".
Everyone seems to love them, and they are too silly to not appeal.
Combining a decent-sized bowl with thick walls, stocky proportions, and
a massive shank creates what I have dubbed the "fat dwarf" pipes
(though our friend Beate prefers to call hers the "Lady Dragon" pipe,
allowing that "fat dwarf" isn't the most ladylike nom de plume).
Whatever they are called, they are ideal rugged smokers, with a shank
so thick it would be tough to break and an overall size ideal for
slipping into a shirt or jacket pocket. It's proportions are
misleading, though, because the 72 is the size of a regular pipe - it
looks smaller than it actually is in pictures because the tendency is
to assume that the whole pipe is shrunken down around the shank. Makes
an excellent smooth or blast or rustic, with thick bowl walls able to
take a very heavy sandblasting.
