Notes:  After a series of more or less classical shape derivations, it was nice to do something original and fun.  Alas, this pipe was hard to convey in pictures - it looks rather massive and slab-sided in photos but actually it's quite narrow, light, and almost leaf or ribbon-like (best conveyed in the photo of the bowl top).  It's unstained and the sandblast is really exceptional, in my humble opinion - very sharp, very detailed, with sharp delineation between every ring (The pipe has 33 years' worth of growth, from top to bottom, in age rings).  The smooth rim shows off some beautiful bird's-eye, too, and the weight and pleasant "hand fit" should make this a favorite smoker for someone.  One doesn't often see a pipe with a bowl of this size and a weight so light.
