"Out of Stock" messages during check-out mean that the pipe has already sold, but I have not yet updated the catalog page to reflect its "Sold" status.

Here's a nice example of how briar produces unexpectedly fun results if you just "go with the flow". I wanted to try something different so I opted to do this minute detail-carving job by hand, giving the bowl rim an almost Celtic look via some intricate and tightly controlled rustication (because I had to be VERY careful not to have the tools take a chip out of the bowl rim's outer edge, which I wanted to remain smooth and crisp).

I wasn't sure how it would look but in the end I was delighted, I think it's a really neat detail on an otherwise classical shape. It also lucked out in the stem department, getting one of the more beautiful French-handcut horn stems I've seen - Check out the grain coloration in the detail close-ups above! Clearly I've done something right with my photography, because lately I've been getting better stem photos than I ever have previously, which is really nice for showing off this sort of fine grain stem material detail.
