Bulldog #2

There's a frustrating tendency in the pipe collecting world to lump makers into "classical" or "Danish" categories, and I'm occasionally annoyed when classical shape purists dismiss me as "one of those spleen guys".  On the one hand, I'm happy that I'm known for some publicly identifiable and creative shapes, but on the other hand, no creative type wants people thinking they're a one-trick pony.  So, I try to make a point to do some Very English classical designs intermixed into the production, just to prove I can to the naysayers and also for my own relaxation.  Shapes like this are much less stressful to make, because I know where I'm going from the start and I can be fairly confident that the pipe will look good when it's done, assuming I don't totally botch it up somehow.
